Presented by Jacqueline “Jill” Carino of task force partner Cordillera Women’s Education Action Research Center (CWEARC), the paper initially defines the general food security situation of indigenous peoples in the Philippines. It then focuses on the conditions of and challenges faced by indigenous peasant women during food insecurity, gleaning through the case of Ibaloi women in Benguet, Philippines.
