About Us

The EED Philippine Partners' Task Force on Indigenous Peoples' Rights (EED-TFIP) is a network of non-governmental organizations in the Philippines advancing the cause of indigenous peoples (IPs) rights, with support from Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst e.V. (EED) of Germany.

The TFIP envisions a society that promotes and defends indigenous peoples' rights and upholds their self-determined development.

As a network of partners, the EED-TFIP is united and committed to advance indigenous indigenous peoples' rights through effective policy advocacy and capability-building.

ASSERTING IPS RIGHTFUL CLAIM

The EED-TFIP developed a six-point agenda to ensure the rights of IPs to their ancestral land and their rightful claim to its resources in order to assure their food security.

The agenda address the issues affecting IPs in the Philippines: the rights to their land; their rightful claim to resources including but not exclusive of indigenous knowledge and biodiversity; and the use, protection and sustainability thereof, towards ensuring their food security.

It is the end-product of a continuing partnership among the EED-TFIP, civil society, non-governmental and IP organizations. It embodies and articulates the recommendations of the participatory researches, conferences and fora that were initiated or supported by the EED-TFIP.
